Canvas Alert – New Login August 1st

CANVAS ALERT – NEW LOGIN COMING MONDAY

ATTENTION PASCO ESCHOOL STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND STAFF:

Beginning Monday, August 1st, Pasco County Schools will be turning on their Single Sign On solution for Canvas (MyLearning).  Your eSchool Canvas course(s) will work normally, but your login process to access your course will be slightly different in two ways:

1. When you go to the Canvas home page (https://pasco.instructure.com), you will now be asked if you are a student, staff member, parent, or other user.  Please select the appropriate user type, and you will be directed to the appropriate login screen.
2. On the login screen, your username will be exactly the same as before, but your password may be different.
   1. USERNAMES:
      For TEACHERS, that is your email name before the @ sign.
      For STUDENTS, that is your student id, and
      For PARENTS, that is your email address.
   2. PASSWORDS:
      However, for teachers and students, your password will now be your district assigned password, which is not necessarily the password you previously used with Canvas.
      TEACHERS, your password is the same as your eSembler/myPGS/Munis Employee Self-Service password. If you do not know your password, you can change your password here.
      STUDENTS, your password is the same as your LDAP password.  If you are uncertain of this password, please contact your eSchool teacher, and they can look it up for you.
      PARENTS, your password will be the same as always.  You can reset your password in the typical way using the Canvas forgotten password link on the login screen.

The great benefit of this change is that all web-based services and tools in Pasco County will login using the same username and password through MyPascoConnect.  Please contact your teacher if you have further questions.
